Community Gardens Revitalization Project
VCAN is now managing the Community Gardens at Meadowlake and El Cerro Mission Community Centers! We are excited to begin this work and will be posting updates on our progress here.
The Community Garden Revitalization Project is funded through the United Way of North Central New Mexico Resilient Communities Grant, which supports efforts to strengthen local food systems and provide dignified access to healthy food within our communities.
Valencia County Government is partnering on the project by providing the space to grow, water access, and use of the community centers for workshops and community education activities.
These gardens will help strengthen community connections, expand access to fresh food, and create opportunities for education, volunteerism, and sustainable community development throughout Valencia County.
